We had coverage with you for our last dog.

We had coverage with you for our last dog. The coverage helped him through a severe illness and a couple of surgeries. We could never have afforded those treatments. Because of your help he lived 14 happy years. Now we have coverage for our goldendoodle. It's comforting to know we can take proper care of her health needs with your help.

My large claims have been pending for longer than estimated. That is the only frustrating part of my experience. All the interactions have been positive and the claims process is quick and easy.

I quoted an old claim regarding a leg issue and they said it was another issue - when it clearly says leg.

I quoted an old claim regarding a leg issue and they said it was another issue - when it clearly says leg. Plus they did not attach a form to appeal. Plus they divided up the claim into three different claims for the same issue In past claims have been dealt with clearly. This is a paper case and a waste of my time. Especially when it was clear on the initial submission

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
