Trupanion is a life saver with claim payments
Having Trupanion health insurance has been a life saver in helping with health issue with in my case 2 small dogs

Depending on the plan Trupanion covers up to 90% of eligible expenses, has unlimited payouts-always, and can pay your vet bill, within seconds, at time of checkout, so all you pay is your portion (anything not covered by Trupanion). They have transformed the way pet insurance handles claims by eliminating the reimbursement process.

Stay away from this company
Stay away from this company. If you ever make the same mistake I did and sign up, make sure you don’t see a vet for the first 30 days. My puppy was itchy one day. I thought he might be having a reaction to something or a bad bug bite. They used this symptom of itchiness to deny him coverage for allergy testing later on, saying he has allergies as a pre-existing condition, even after requesting and receiving a letter from my vet stating he was too young to have developed allergies at the time of his initial examination for itchiness. what a catch 22. Denied coverage for claiming he has allergies when they won’t even cover testing to see if he has any. I’m in too deep to back out now and they constantly jack up the monthly rates. Do yourself a favour and avoid this company.

TRUPANION IS BEYOND WONDERFUL!!!!!!!
I can't say enough good things about Trupanion!!!!! I remember back in the day wondering if we should do insurance. What a no brainer that was! We have used Trupanion multiple times and everyone would say there was no way they would continue with our claims. Well they were WRONG! i can't get over how great they have been. Trupanion continues to honor their contract as stated. My Newfoundland has had 2 major surgeries in one year and they covered both.....along with multiple visits to the dermatologist. If you are wondering about insurance and who to use, I would recommend to the fullest...TRUPANION!!!!

Relief to have coverage!
We were blindsided by a condition I had never heard of in our puppy. It could have cost us thousands to have his shoulders repaired and to give him the comfortable life he deserved. The process was extremely smooth and the customer service was excellent! Thank you again for making this part an easy process.
Monthly Cost
Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.
Coverage
One simple plan covers new injuries and illnesses, hereditary, congenital, and chronic conditions—once the deductible is met, Trupanion pays 90% of the remaining invoice.

Payout Limits
Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.
Deductible
You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget.
Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.
Age Limits
All pets under 14 years old can enroll.
Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Accidents: 5 days
Illnesses: 30 days
Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.
Exclusions
Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries. That means we don’t cover “predictable” care costs that you can plan ahead for, like:
Examination fees
Wellness and preventive care
Elective, or cosmetic procedures
Sales tax, where applicable
