I had to take my cat to vet hospital you only covered the initial first visit expense then there was a needed followup apt.

I had to take my cat to vet hospital, you only covered the initial first visit expense, then there was a needed followup apt. you said your insurance doesn't cover 2nd appointment.. Why not? my cat needed vet services so of course she needed followup care

My premiums have gone up more than 40% from 2013 to 2019 6 years.

My premiums have gone up more than 40% from 2013 to 2019, 6 years. I understand I have made a claim, however that is why insurance is purchased. I don't believe that the premium is justified to increased by this percentage, I wonder if it is only due to the fact that I have made a claim?

The claims process has been quick and have always received the reimbursement into my bank account very timely.

The claims process has been quick and have always received the reimbursement into my bank account very timely. My only complaint with Trupanion is you do not give discounts for multiple pets. I have 3 other cats now that could have been Trupanion customers but I went with ASPCA for them because they gave multiple cat discounts.

Monthly Cost

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.

Coverage

One simple plan covers new injuries and illnesses, hereditary, congenital, and chronic conditions—once the deductible is met, Trupanion pays 90% of the remaining invoice. To view a full list of inclusions and exclusions, check out our sample policy here.

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
