Trupanian is worthwhile pet insurance.
Trupanian has been great for both of my pets. My only complaint is that you won't change my account back to my name Loesha Donaldson. I have been the primary on this account since 2011, I added my daughter Chelan a few years later when I adopted her cat but needed help from her with payments. I do not understand why you made her the primary on the account without my permission and why you won't change the main contact on the account back to me. It's very frustrating and disrespectful to me when I was the person that started my pet insurance with you in the first place. Despite several attempts to have this rectified I continue to be addressed by my daughter's name. My name as the primary account holder should be reinstated at my request! Check your records back to 2011 and you would see that. I would like my name reinstated as the primary on the account and please stop referring to me by my daughter's name in your correspondence with me. My name is Loesha Donaldson and I would like to see my name once again on the account as the Primary. Please call me at 250 380 3099 to discuss.

My little shiatsu-Maltese was limping we took her to the vet and they diagnosed arthritis in her knee's along with tears to the tenons.

We put in our claim and the wheels we purchased for her where covered and she is now getting cartraphen shots monthly with 90% covered no problems everything went smooth as apposed to some human insurances.

Thank you for your very quick response helping Niko for his surgery. It was such a relief having financial help during this stressful time. He is healing well, a healthy puppy again!

Coverage
One simple plan covers new injuries and illnesses, hereditary, congenital, and chronic conditions—once the deductible is met, Trupanion pays 90% of the remaining invoice.

Payout Limits
Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.
Deductible
You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget.
Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.
Age Limits
All pets under 14 years old can enroll.
Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Accidents: 5 days
Illnesses: 30 days
Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.
Exclusions
Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries. That means we don’t cover “predictable” care costs that you can plan ahead for, like:
Examination fees
Wellness and preventive care
Elective, or cosmetic procedures
Sales tax, where applicable
