The service thus far has been good.

The service thus far has been good. We haven't had to use it yet so we have no knowledge as to how the service is when dealing with a claim. The premiums are a little pricey, hopefully worth it if we need it.

Peace of mind.

Trupanion has been wonderful, as we go through a very trying time with our beloved dog. Unfortunately, she has had several health concerns in recent months and having pet insurance is one less thing to worry about.

Trupanion is excellent pet insurance. I would highly recommend it. I have had it since Reggie was 3 months old. Unfortunately Reggie passed the other week of stomach cancer at 7 years old. Trupanion was there to cover the majority of the costs. It was a very sad time so I was relieved to pursue every option available for my dog without the worry of the costs involved. My decisions were based on his quality of life & best chance of survival NOT the financial costs. Trupanion was also there for Reggie when he was diagnosed with a cataract. I was able to offer him the ability to see in his left eye by doing cataract surgery. Trupanion was there when Reggie had allergies and required allergy shots every three months. I will not hesitate to use Trupanion for my next dog when the time comes.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
