Trupanion has saved my boys life twice.

Trupanion has saved my boys life twice. They are always there for us in times we need them most and they are always, always available to help 24/7. I have recommended Trupanion to all of my friends and breeder groups. Never, ever will I not have Trupanion for my pets. The peace of mind is priceless, not to mention being able to save the life of my fur children.

We love Trupanion and so does Angus

We adopted Angus from a rescue at 11 weeks old. We took him in to our vet right away so we could acess the Trupanion trial membership from the rescue. Thank goodness we did!! 4 days later Angus was critically ill with complications from a congenital intrahepatic liver shunt. Besides our totally awesome vet and her clinic staff, Trupanion was the one saving grace in the giant mess we faced. We turned his temporary policy into a full coverage policy with no issues and have had no problems getting help paying his medical costs. Without our Trupanion insurance we faced losing our beloved boy far too early in life as he needed complicated surgery to increase his quality of life. He had a intrajugular coil embolization placement surgery which is very specialized and very expensive. And he has also developed other health issues (he is a lemon unicorn dog lol ) and our insurance has been a godsend. Plus, they care. If I call with a question, they are concerned and always ask about my boy and how he is doing. And are very patient with crying slightly hysterical pet owners ;) Any claim reviews we have had to do, have been fast and fair and results were well explained to us. My vet clinic sends my claims through a vet portal to get instant okays on claims so bills are paid quickly. Great for me and my vet! Also their online claim procedure for owners for medications, etc is easy and fast and credited to my bank account within days! Easy peasy! I highly recommend Trupanion to all pet owners!

A sigh of relief

A visit to an emergency veterinarian resulted in a large bill. thanks to trupanion the burden of this bill was cut in half.

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.

Coverage

One simple plan covers new injuries and illnesses, hereditary, congenital, and chronic conditions—once the deductible is met, Trupanion pays 90% of the remaining invoice. To view a full list of inclusions and exclusions, check out our sample policy here.

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
