Bad experiences. Even after they got caught in a lie.
I bought insurance for my puppy within a few months. I made a custom plan that suited what I wanted to cover just in case. The rep told me I would get the rate $98 a month for my pups life and it will never change. Speed up one year and my monthly cost went up $20. I called and they said it was cause costs of care went up keep in mind I never had a claim. So I argued that and told them what I was told and she said I was wrong. I told her to listen to the first conversation when I signed up and she did and to her surprise I was right, they said never go up or change. Her response to this was sorry theres nothing they can do. After fighting for few months nothing changed but my rate. Year 2 it went up again with still no claims. I canceled after that as they sold me something that was a complete lie and they couldn't do anything to remedy the situation.
My suggestion would be to just put the monthly cost into a savings account and not there pockets.
This was my experience so hopefully this helps some people.
The cost raised twice in 2 years from. 98 to 128 a month. When I was enrolling the lady I was talking to confirmed my monthly cost would never change. No mention of cost of service rates changing. I thought that's why you buy it when pets are young to lock in best rates. If i was told about them raising their costs i would have probably declined it. Going up $30 a month in 2 years is unacceptable when they confirmed it would NOT change.
