Trupanion is literally a life saver when it comes to making decisions about urgent or unanticipated pet care. We have used this pet insurance for many years and have found them as compassionate, professional and reliable to work with on a recent emergency with our young cat as we did several years ago with our beloved aged dog. Being advised to just look after your ailing pet while they look after the claim is just so reassuring and welcome at such stressful times.

The only pet insurnace choice!

Trupanion claims are hassle free, whether through the vet directly or as reimbursement. I’ve processed both ways, and reimbursement arrives swiftly. The email communication on claims receipt and processing keeps me informed. 10/10 recommend Trupanion as THE pet insurnace choice.

Excellent Service

Michael was extremely knowledgeable. He was not too pushy and gave me the time to think about what my needs are and decide which package worked for me. I could tell he really cared about the welfare of my pet.

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
