A Trupanion all the way.....

After a botched procedure, my little dog ended up paralysed on the whole right side of his body. He spent 4 days in the emergency animal hospital. The emergency costs were astronomical and Trupanion was there the whole time paying the bills for the specialized care or on the phone talking me through the process. Having Trupanion allowed me the freedom to choose what was best for my dog. My policy also includes the option of acupuncture of which I have used almost every week for the last 3 months. All paid by Trupanion without question. I am confident the acupuncture assisted in his ability to have what is now becoming his normal. Three months later my little guy is walking, has his own version of running and is happy. Every week brings improvements in his recovery and optimism for the future. Thank-you Trupanion for making a horrible experience a lot easier.

Outstanding company to deal with…

Not sure how these negative reviews come about. I have a very sick dog, starting with Epilepsy from the age of 2, which incurs very expensive monthly medications, going forward to surgery for eating a knee high stocking wrapped around intestines. She has been hospitalized numerous times for cluster seizures, more recently had major surgery to remove tumors from her liver and spleen removal. Now it's low thyroid. I have had nothing but fantastic service and timely payments for the last 9 years. There have been times when I disagreed with a result, and they were very open to discussion, resulting in a fair outcome. Without hesitation, I recommend Trupanion to anyone who needs insurance for their pet.

We were very impressed with Dr. Bane & her care for Marty. We couldn’t wish for better. Trupanion Pet Insurance is certainly worth having. Anyone who has a pet as part of their family should check into it. It’s a very small price to pay for the comfort of knowing that your pet will get the best treatment possible. Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
