Quick and easy claim process.

I purchased Trupanion when my Great Dane was a Pup, he will be 4 in June. So far the claims I’ve submitted have been processed quickly and without issue. Providing the service remains the same and my premium doesn’t increase substantially over the coming years, I will continue to recommend and purchase insurance from Trupanion!! Please keep up the great work while keeping premiums affordable. Well done

Our claim was processed very quickly and this was our first time submitting the invoices via your new App. It worked very well and only one invoice was not processed on your end, but when we called to inquire the matter was corrected quickly. Very good customer service! Thank you.

My beautiful boy Mr Bojangles

My beautiful lab has thyroid issues and is diabetic. He went blind one year ago due to cataracts. The summer of 2020 he had eye surgery so restore his vision. The surgery was a huge success, he is like a new dog. We could not have done it without Trupanion. You guys have been with us every step of the way. You are the best... thank-you

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries. That means we don’t cover “predictable” care costs that you can plan ahead for, like: Examination fees Wellness and preventive care Elective, or cosmetic procedures Sales tax, where applicable Like all pet insurance providers, Trupanion does not cover pre-existing conditions.
