Fast, quick, no hassle!!

I was happily, surprised. Inherently, trust and insurance companies don’t go hand in hand. I thought I was going to have to fight, get vet statements, etc etc, and still wait until long after I had paid. This wasn’t the case at all. Within 5 minutes of the vets office submitting a $4000 claim....... a notice of approval for a little over $3000 was authorized. I would most certainly recommend tru-panion to anyone looking for pet insurance.

I am super unimpressed that our rates have climbed 300% over the last 5 years.

I am super unimpressed that our rates have climbed 300% over the last 5 years. When I called in looking for more information I was advised that because I live near an animal hospital and the animals in my area have had higher claims recently we are responsible for paying higher fees. I understand from a business model why this makes sense but as a consumer who has had two rate increases in the last year without any claims I am beyond frustrated. We are currently exploring alternative options with other providers.

excellent service both via email and on phone. I've been with Trupanion for 13 years and have had at least a dozen friends sign up based on my recommendations. Can't say enough good things about Trupanion.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
