No sense of responsability and MEDIOCRE customer service
This company has been OK (no claims so far) until we had to update our credit card expiration date. After calling EACH month for FOUR months in a row because of payment issues, it appears that their system is unable to process credit card update!!!! Each month, i get messages from them threating to end the policy because the payment does not go through and each month i call back to do the payment with the exact same card that is on file and it goes perfectly fine. Customer service basically said there is no solution and they are looking into it but I, as a customer, have to provide them with another payment method and there is nothing they can do on their end. I disagree because ALL my bills, more than 10, go through the same card with automatic billing without any issue and I am not going to open another card just for Trupanion. I was then advised that I can end my policy at any time, which basically means, Trupanion doesn't care if I stay or not as customer. I had requested multiple times to speak with a supervisor but no one is available and I will only be called back in a week. I have not had to put in a claim but and honestly this whole incident does not inspire any trust in me. Trupanion does not have a sens of responsability toward their customers and I am definitely changing insurer for my dog.
