Reality equals what the policy says!

Trupanion took away the stress of making the medical decisions around the care for our kitten, Winnie. Communication was excellent, timely, and detailed so we knew what to expect out of pocket. Direct billing by the vet hospital was also a true benefit of our policy. We would recommend Trupanion to anyone who has or is bringing a pet into their home.

I think this is the best pet insurance product on the market.

I think this is the best pet insurance product on the market. My first dog passed away from lymphoma a few years back, but you guys were there for me throughout the 2 years of intermittent treatment that I would not have been able to afford without insurance. Two more years with my best friend was priceless. The treatments were approved within an hour of being submitted, and I have never had any issues with claims being paid, in full, immediately. I also appreciate how kind and compassionate your employees have always been when I have called in for any reason. I think you guys are fantastic.

Confused

I put my first claim in for an ear infection. I ended up paying $70 extra somehow through trupanion. Very confused of wine paying more money for a submitted claim? After the claim was accepted and I received no money and paid an extra $70 something dollars the app stopped working for me even after resetting it.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
