Once again, a great experience!

Once again, Trupanion came through when my cat Tulip had an emergency situation. She was treated at a couple of places, and is now home and recooperating! I made the claim right away, and Trupanion reimbursed within a week. They were an absolute life saver in 2017 when my frenchie had to have emergency surgery. They worked directly with the hospital which was great help! I've been with Trupanion for years, and simply wouldn't go anywhere else.

Amazing Service and Support from Trupanion

My puppy Mischievous Maria was admitted to the Animal Hospital with severe vomiting and diarrhea. I place a call to Trupanion and was reassured that the claims process would be handled seamlessly. Kathy from Trupanion explained how to submit the claims once I had the invoices. I submitted my claims on July 4th and received confirmation that my claims had been processed and paid on July 6th. Outstanding product, processing and customer service. Thank you for making life so much easier during difficult times. I am happy to say that Mischievous Maria has made a full recovery and has returned to good health.

Best Coverage, Best Customer Experience, Best Pet Insurer

Don't think twice about insuring your pet with Trupanion. They are the best company to deal with. Our dog Niko has a heart condition and because of Trupanion and their support, we've been able to provide him with the best medical care and medicine to prolong his life. They pay claims on line within days. On my last claim I had my money in my bank account in 2 days! The most impressive thing about Trupanion is that they really care about my pets. They treat them like their own. They have the best customer experience of any company I've ever dealt with. I will never leave them. They are like family.

one less thing to worry about

You never count on a pet getting a chronic illness. When they do you want them to get every possible care so they can lead a happy life. This would be extremely difficult without Trupanion. Hospital stays are extremely expensive. We had a reimbursement within 24 hours. Thank You! And Charlotte thanks you!

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.

Coverage

One simple plan covers new injuries and illnesses, hereditary, congenital, and chronic conditions—once the deductible is met, Trupanion pays 90% of the remaining invoice. To view a full list of inclusions and exclusions, check out our sample policy here.

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries. That means we don’t cover “predictable” care costs that you can plan ahead for, like: Examination fees Wellness and preventive care Elective, or cosmetic procedures Sales tax, where applicable Like all pet insurance providers, Trupanion does not cover pre-existing conditions.
