Stress free maximum coverage every time.

Since step one getting Trupanion coverage for my pet was easy as pie to obtain and understand. Everything about the coverage, policies, exclusions, and deductible now and over time was explained up front. Having insurance that never caps out on pay outs, always has the same percentage of coverage, and always has someone available to discuss customer service, while direct billing with all major hospitals puts my mind completely at ease knwoing anything that comes up will be able to be within my budget. I recommend Trupanion Pet Insurance to all my clients.

Insurance now costing me 3X more!

The claims experience is easy and quick. And I was happy with how much was covered. However, I would only recommend a friend to Trupanion if the friend was quite wealthy (in which case they probably wouldn't need insurance). That's because the amount you are charging me for insuring my cat has gone from about $36/month up to a whopping $114/month! That's an increase of more than three times. If you had been honest with me up front about this possibility, I might feel differently. But all your advertising said things like "Your insurance costs won't go up because your cat gets sick. Your insurance costs won't go up because your cat gets older." It was SO misleading. There was no warning that insurance could increase so significantly for other reasons. Now my cat has stage 4 kidney disease and I can't switch insurance providers because no other company would cover him.

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
