I feel scammed
Our Dog speared herself with a branch and had to be taken in for stitches - since the wound was deep they also put a drain for the wound in that had to be removed in two to three days. I thought no problem we have pet insurance. However what isn’t advertised is that they don’t pay for the visit to the emergency vet that costs $200, they don’t pay sales tax- nor would they pay for the removal or the drain or the stitches removed . $1400 of expenses - they paid $300. Granted my deductible was $500. The idea of pet insurance sounds great - but would have been further ahead putting my 70 per month in a contingency account rather than throwing it away on pet insurance where they just look for excuses not to pay..
