The Best Company Ever!!

If I could give Trupanion 100 stars, I would. Five is not nearly enough. My Rex was diagnosed with Lymphoma back in November. I called Trupanion and a live person answered the phone. The customer service was impeccable. Everyone I have spoken to Trupanion cannot be trained to have those customer service skills. They are truly a gift, and Trupanion hires the best individuals. Everything was explained to me, and nothing was difficult at all. My veterinarian treats my dog...he goes for chemotherapy once a week....then faxes a claim to Trupanion. Within a couple of minutes I get a text from Trupanion that the claim has been received. Minutes later I get another text letting me know it was approved. At that point I call my veterinarian and pay my 10%. Trupanion covers 90% after my $500 deductible. I wish claims for humans were paid that quickly. Everyone with a dog or a cat should have Trupanion. I would have had to take out a loan to care for my dog throughout his journey with Lymphoma. By the way, he is doing extremely well, and I am grateful for a wonderful veterinarian and also to Trupanion, that I was allowed to just focus on my dog's health and not the financials. Trupanion has truly been a lifesaver…

Trupanion has truly been a lifesaver for me and my 12 year old goldendoodle. I enrolled my dog at 3 years old, and have definitely utilized their services. My poor dog has been through so much in her 12 years, one of the big issues was her TPLO surgery 4 years ago which they reimbursed me and quickly (within a week). Most recently my baby was been diagnosed with thyroid cancer, we have diagnostic testing scheduled for next week and I called and spoke with rep Joey M, who could NOT have been kinder, so empathetic, and was so patient with me and gave me advice on how to file my most recent claims to ensure they’re all compiled under one claim. I am so happy with their services and they have given me such peace of mind throughout the years so I don’t have to worry about cost, only about treating my dog and focusing on her recovery. Trupanion is truly a life saver! <3

Monthly Cost

Your monthly premium is determined by multiple factors including your pet’s species, gender, breed, age, zip code, and the deductible amount you choose if your policy allows.

Coverage

Depending on your plan, the Trupanion policy pays up to 100% of your vet bill for all eligible expenses. There are unlimited payout limits, always and Trupanion will never increase or cancel your coverage because of claims you submit. Coverage includes new accidents and illnesses, hereditary, congenital, and chronic conditions, diagnostic tests, hospital stays, and much more. Trupanion prides itself on paying out more on the dollar than any other provider and has paid out nearly $2 billion in claims to date.

Payout Limits

The Trupanion policy* has no payout limits, so whether your pet needs one quick visit or a lifetime of care, your coverage won’t quit. That can mean a big difference if your pet develops a chronic condition requiring extended care like allergies, diabetes, or even cancer.

Deductible

If your Trupanion policy has a deductible, you can customize it to fit your budget. You can choose from $50 to $1,000 in increments of $5, or choose to have no deductible at all. Trupanion deductibles are per-condition and good for the life of your pet. That means no annual resets-once a deductible is met, you never have to pay the deductible for that condition again.

Age Limits

All new pets can enroll from birth until their 14th birthday. Once your pet is enrolled, they can be enrolled for life

Waiting Period

Waiting periods vary by state. Please see your states policy for full coverage details. However, other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
