Spot wants to do right by your pet
I was initially very annoyed that the only time this company asked for six months of past medical records was when I filed a claim for euthanasia. Moreover, when I called the claims office I was routed offshore where several people were rude, poorly trained and generally unhelpful. I had to ask for a supervisor callback to get any information. However, I have changed my opinion on this company and it is significantly better than before. The claims were processed in a week ( a couple of
days after receiving the records from the vet). The reimbursement amount was acceptable. One needs to understand that the reimbursement is between 70-90% of the ALLOWABLE CHARGES based on what is reasonable and customary for your area and that charge. Don’t expect them to pay for prescription dog food. I would appreciate for Spot to respond with their policy and whether they ever pay for it.
In general, they responded to the above concerns in a timely and professional manner.
You can expect your premiums to increase every year even if you never file a claim.
I would most definitely recommend this company. I believe that they want to do the right thing.
