Lifesaver insurance

SPOT pet insurance has been a lifesaver. I have a 6 year old Miniature American Shepherd (mini Aussie in layman’s terms) and she means the world to me. I pay for SPOT’s preventative coverage as well as accident/illness coverage. They have always reimbursed me for the available vaccinations/bloodwork/annual visit covered under preventative care. On June 16th, 2025, my dog presented with bloody vomit and diarrhea. I was able to take her to her primary vet immediately, and after examination and bloodwork they suggested the emergency room. My dog was diagnosed with hemorrhagic gastroenteritis (HGE) and needed overnight support. The total of both the primary vet visit and the ER visit was $3800. SPOT reimbursed me 80% as promised within 4 business days of submitting a claim with itemized receipts and a description of what happened. It was an incredibly stressful situation but some of that stress was absolved by knowing SPOT had my back. I would recommend SPOT pet insurance to anyone. Just make sure you read the policy of the plan you choose to know what’s covered. I’d happily pay $65 a month for top coverage for the rest of all of my animals’ lives to have peace of mind in case of an emergency.

Very smooth process-paid exactly what it said it would cover

Very smooth process. Clear on what they do and don’t cover. I had some high bills from a couple of emergency vet visits with my cat and there were no issues or arguments on what I could claim. Would def keep using. I don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t insured my cat. The overall bills came to around 7000 but I only had to pay around 1500 with insurance.
