Pumpkin helps me take extraordinary care of my fur baby

Pumpkin covers the diagnostics and treatments my elderly Shih Tzu, JuJu's, needs. I am so grateful for Pumpkin. Because of his insurance, I am able to make decisions for JuJu based on what's in his best interest. I don't have to stress over the money.

My question was never answered as to…

My question was never answered as to how do I report visits to Pumpkin for reimbursement. Maybe if someone would contact me with an answer I could give a better rating. If not, I’ll be cancelling with Pumpkin and looking elsewhere for pet insurance. The amount I’m paying in insurance monthly would be better used as savings for when my boys need to visit the vet.

The process of using the insurance was quick and easy. Everything is explained and the website for claims is easy to use. Pumpkin fits in our budget and are very pleased with our experiences so far.

Monthly Cost

Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.

Payout Limits

Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.

Deductible

3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
