Pumpkin is a great pet insurance plan that allows you to pick the coverages you want. The employees are wonderful to work with and they have fast, efficient response times! I love them! I mean, who wouldn't with a phone number like 1-800-arf-meow šŸ’›

Highly recommended!

I used the insurance when my Australian Shepard tore his ACL. I was expecting the claims process to be slow and difficult. Iā€™m happy to say it was very easy and I was reimbursed super fast. I highly recommend Pumpkin! I researched for a while before I finally purchased, Iā€™m glad I chose Pumpkin!

Monthly Cost

Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say ā€œyesā€ to the best possible care.

Payout Limits

Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.

Deductible

3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkinā€™s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
