This is based on my most recent experience. Claim was submitted and over a week passed before I received an email it is still in review. That's been more than a week ago. Not a complicated claim. Disappointing as previous claims have been handled so quickly and efficiently.

Pumpkin Pet Insurance is fabulous!

We are so glad we took our Breeder's advice and signed up for Pumpkin Pet insurance! They were wonderful! Our young puppy became seriously ill and needed three emergency vet visits and an overnight stay in the hospital. Pumpkin payed for 90% of it just like they said they would. They were very nice on the phone making sure we knew how to file our claim which was easy and they paid us really fast - which was a huge help.

When my bulldog got sick (he is the 3rd one I've had), I thought I was in for a big outlay of cash, but I had Pumpkin to help me this time. They saved me over $2500, and paid before my credit card bill came due. I didn't have to worry about money and I was able to give my boy the best care available. Worth every penny!

Pumpkin has been great for my fur baby…

Pumpkin has been great for my fur baby and all that has been going on with her. We adopted a dog from South Korea, and you never know what you're getting with a rescue. We've had great luck with rescues in the past, but this one was far older than advertised. Micha had lumps and bumps of an older dog and Pumpkin has fulfilled the terms of the agreement with little delay and no real hassles. I've been so happy to have them.

Best Pet Insurance!

Pumpkin is the best pet insurance, hands down. No hassles in filing a claim and they are expedient in their processing. I will never use any other pet insurance for my fur babies. Thank you, Pumpkin!

Monthly Cost

Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.

Payout Limits

Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.

Deductible

3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
