Pumpkin Pet Insurance Helped Us Care for Our Cat When It Mattered Most
When our cat Chico started dealing with a mysterious ear infection, it quickly became a long and stressful journey. Between multiple vet visits and appointments with a pet dermatologist, we were determined to find answers and make sure he wasn’t suffering. As a young married couple, Chico truly means the world to my husband and I and we want to do everything we can to keep him happy and healthy. Veterinary care can add up quickly, especially when you are trying to get to the bottom of something complicated. That is where Pumpkin Pet Insurance has made such a difference for us. Knowing we have support has helped take a huge financial weight off our shoulders while we focus on what really matters, getting Chico the care he needs. Pets are family and no animal deserves to suffer through a mysterious illness without help. Fast and Easy Process
We had to submit 4 claims over the course of three weeks due to our pup’s illness. They were all approved within hours of submitting them online. The process was extremely easy to complete. I highly recommend this company.
Monthly Cost
Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.
Coverage
Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.
Payout Limits
Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.
Deductible
3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000
Age Limits
No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
