A couple months after rescuing our boy…

A couple months after rescuing our boy Austin, he was diagnosed with heart worm. For anyone not familiar with the treatment for this, it's lengthy and expensive. I've been extremely happy with our Pumpkin insurance, and thankful for it. His last vet appointment cost me over $500, but luckily with Pumpkin, I got reimbursed for the majority of it. When i mentioned that to the receptionist at our vet, even she was impressed, and asked who I go through. I highly recommend them.

Pumpkin has been nothing but wonderful. Every claim we have filed has been super easy to submit. Any questions we’ve had have always been answered quickly. Monthly Cost

Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.

Payout Limits

Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.

Deductible

3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
