Old fogie prefers talking on phone so…

Activating the insurance for my dogs was made simple by your CS reps. Good customer service phone reps are a rarity these days, indeed. Not only were they polite, knowledgeable and pleasant to speak with but above all, they were patient with my questions. If Pumpkin wants to succeed, don’t ever let the “brass” reduce this CS investment. It was the defining element which made me choose Pumpkin over several other candidates.

I am happy I switched

It was quick and easy to change insurance. The customer service representative addressed my concerns and answered all questions. Also, I thought it was so sweet to send each of my dogs a squeak toy. They absolutely love them and I feel that just doing something small makes a huge difference.

I can only comment on obtaining the insurance as I have not had to use it. But the process is exceptional and personal.

Pumpkin responds quickly with helpful Answers. I just wish we could get more covered on each claim. Possibly a discount for having two pets enrolled

Monthly Cost

Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.

Payout Limits

Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.

Deductible

3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
