Pumpkin has covered (90%) our little…
Pumpkin has covered (90%) our little dog’s operation for a luxating patella and the follow up operation a year and a half later to remove the pins used to stabilize the patella. We could not have done this without Pumpkin’s financial support.
Their website is easy to navigate and they are prompt in dealing with claims. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

It’s so easy to file a claim.
This is the first pet that we have had insurance for. What an experience we have had. We never thought we would have to use it. But….. With a torn ACL on a 5.5 pound Yorkie. It sure has been a God send. Who would have thought that could have ever happened. Thankfully I listened to my wife when she said let’s get insurance.

Monthly Cost
Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.
Coverage
Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.
Payout Limits
Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.
Deductible
3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000
Age Limits
No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
