Old dog, new tricks

I bought the preventive care package for my greyhound, she needed her booster shots and the plan included to shots per year. After much trouble on my part to get the claim to Pumpkin, I did it was a shame I did not remember what I did??? Anyway the sent a check electronically, all I had to do was print it. Now you would think that was easy however I am an old dog learning new tricks. Lets just say it did not go to plan. Pumpkin was wonderful and sent my a paper check that I could take to the bank. Love the service with Pumpkin!

Our boy Jax was pretty sick recently…

Our boy Jax was pretty sick recently and knowing we had Pumpkin Insurance was a great relief for us. Our claims were processed promptly. I always refer my friends and colleagues to Pumpkin. They are the best!

Monthly Cost

Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.

Payout Limits

Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.

Deductible

3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
