Felt as though we needed to have…
Felt as though we needed to have insurance for our pet due to unforseen events and the fact that veterinarian costs have become so expensive. My pet is healthy thank goodness but as a pet parent want to be able to provide the best care for my fur baby. I sleep a little better knowing that we are covered, thank you!!

Pumpkin care is awesome!
So far pumpkin care has been great! I received my refund for vaccinations with the preventative care package in a timely manner. I am happy to have pumpkin cares services for my puppy.

Just started with this insurance
Just started with this insurance. No claims made yet but have reviewed the process and it seems pretty straight forward. I chose this insurance because of their wellness approach to coverage.
Monthly Cost
Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.
Coverage
Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.
Payout Limits
Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.
Deductible
3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000
Age Limits
No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
