My 5 star rating is based on the…Ease of applying and the information shared

My 5 star rating is based on the Sign-Up process and the marketing information that I was able to research on the company, compared to other companies. I have not had the experience of having a claim yet, so I can't comment on the plan performance. However, I am very impressed with the information shared and the easy sign up process. Hopefully, I will never have to file a claim

Pumpkin was very helpful in answering all my questions and concerns. The insurance rate is affordable and the coverage is more than satisfactory. I very much appreciate the fact that after 180 days of being symptom-free, my pet will not be considered to have a pre-existing condition and if any similar problem arises after that time period, she will have coverage.

Best Support Service Ever!

Each representative that I spoke to was knowledgeable, kind, and very very helpful! I had many questions and called back several times and each person I spoke to was as equally informative and kind as the last. On-boarding my two cats with Pumpkin was one of the best experiences I've had with a support center or any customer service team ever.

Monthly Cost

Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.

Payout Limits

Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.

Deductible

3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
