My claim was processed quickly and everything that I expected to be covered was. Great customer service too. I would definitely recommend them!

Overall I am really happy…
Overall I am really happy with my reimbursement rate and what is included with pumpkin. I have had a few issues with support overall. 1. when you chat in their systems seems to not record it as a contact so it just goes nowhere if the agent doesn't follow up. 2. the negotiation between pumpkin and my vet has been tricky at times when her preventative meds need to be refilled. 3. this is not so much support but claims take like a month to process which feels like a long time on a big claim.

Beware of false advertising
I was extremely happy with Pumpkin, they were very responsive and the claims had a really quick turnaround time. They had the most overall coverage of all the plans I researched. All great...UNTIL I was not reimbursed for something they had clearly stated as covered on their website (see screenshot, BEWARE they DO NOT cover CBC at an annual exam). Totally false advertising, especially for something VERY expensive. Don't care how good your insurance is, if you lie...I'm OUT!

Insurance and Beyond
I'm blown away by Pumpkin's level of care and support for its customers. My 18-year-old cat recently passed away, and not only did Pumpkin cover the costs of her in-home euthanasia and cremation, but I also received a flower delivery. I've not experienced this level of care from an insurance provider in a long time. Thank you, Pumpkin. I will highly recommend you to my friends and family.
Monthly Cost
Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.
Coverage
Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.
Payout Limits
Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.
Deductible
3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000
Age Limits
No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
