I recently went through a very scary…
I recently went through a very scary time with my dog. I thought I was going to lose her. It was so nice to not have the stress of how to pay for all the vet visits added to the stress and worry of trying to figure out what was going on with her.

This was my first claim I’ve had to…
This was my first claim I’ve had to submit and it’s something I don’t want to do because I love my pup and don’t want anything bad to happen to her! That being said, I am so happy to have this insurance. The claim process was simple and it was a quick turnaround. Everyone I dealt with was fantastic! Would recommend pumpkin to anyone with a pet. I wasn’t sure if I needed pet insurance as paying monthly was just something I thought i was wasting money on, but after I get my emergency vet bill I was more than happy that i had this insurance. Thank you pumpkin!

The process to submit the claim is pretty smooth and quick. The customer service is quick in responding too and nice.
Monthly Cost
Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.
Coverage
Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.
Payout Limits
Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.
Deductible
3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000
Age Limits
No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
