Reimbursement was fast, easy and deposited in my account in just a few days.
Pumpkin has lots of options, allowing you to pick the plan that best suits your budget. After satisfying my deductible earlier this year, I submitted two different invoices (just take a picture on your phone and upload) and was reimbursed within a few days at my 90% rate, no questions, follow up or delays. After about 15 months I’m very happy with my decision to choose Pumpkin.

It’s fast and easy to submit a reimbursement request. I have had pumpkin since my dog was a puppy and I’ve only had great experiences with pumpkin insurance so far.
Monthly Cost
Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.
Coverage
Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.
Payout Limits
Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.
Deductible
3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000
Age Limits
No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
