Love Pumpkin Insurance

I only have good things to say about Pumpkin Insurance. They are very helpful if you have questions. They always come through on each and every claim once you meet your deductible. I will recommend Pumpkin Insurance to anyone looking for insurance for their pets. I love that I chose Pumpkin and I know you will to!!!!

Great experience with Pumpkin Pet Insurance

Have had Pumpkin Pet Insurance since I brought my puppy home at 8 weeks old. I have never had a problem with denial of claims due to pre existing conditions so I suggest to purchase it as soon as possible. I use direct deposit for my claims and they are generally completed within 3-14 days. I also purchased the Wellness plan and it does save me money. The Wellness services that are covered are covered at a100% of your vets fee so I generally save about $100-$150 per year purchasing this. Whenever I have had to either speak with or email customer service they have been very prompt with responses and nice as well.

Easiest claim process

Our dog was so sick that the vet required several X-rays and keeping him under observation. Thankfully he was treated. We were so worried about the vet bill, but Pumpkin was so amazing covering everything minus the deductible. We were pleasantly surprised at how easy and quick the whole claim process was. Monthly Cost

Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.

Payout Limits

Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.

Deductible

3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
