I find it useless as a insurance..its…

I find it useless as a insurance..its nothing like health insurance. If you dog is a diabetic and needs meds or god know surgery because a kidney is falling ect you won't cover it because its a previous condition do to diabetes.. That is just a example..I will be canceling and putting the 200 dollars a month in a saving for my babies.. I get not covering medication but if a surgery comes up for said condition you won't cover is crazy..said condition caused cancer in let's say a yr nope its said condition related.. Waste of money..

Quick claim turnaround

I can’t believe how quickly Pumpkin handles claims. When my dog was diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease it meant regular bills for bloodwork and medication, and you have taken care of all of my claims within 24 hours of my making them. That is remarkable! I will absolutely be recommending Pumpkin to everyone I know. You are a little more expensive than some, but it is absolutely worth it given the claims service you provide. Don’t wait-Pumpkin is key!

My Boston, Fitz had an infected bug bite, wound or something show up right next to his right eye. We were so concerned but the vet was quick to give his best to help him. All good now- Pumpkin made it easy to get care since we knew we had coverage. Thanks for the quick handling of our claim.

Monthly Cost

Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.

Payout Limits

Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.

Deductible

3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
