The process was very simple and any questions I had I was able to get answers via chat. It did take a few weeks but that just means they were doing their due diligence.

Reliability 100%!
Every time we’ve used Pumpkin, they’ve come through. This last situation had an unexpected tooth extraction. Pumpkin was great and easy to use. Processing our claim was easy and efficient. We received our claim reimbursement without delay. I'm so impressed with how fast and efficient Pumpkin Insurance has been compared to our previous Pet Carrier.
Monthly Cost
Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.
Coverage
Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.
Payout Limits
Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.
Deductible
3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000
Age Limits
No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
