You never know…

We’ve had Pumpkin insurance for several years. They have always done right by us. My last dog got very sick and required a lot of emergency care. They paid the 90% with no hassle. Their customer service people are great in explaining things to you about your claim(s). I would recommend Pumpkin to any pet owner. Pet insurance is a must because you never know.

Dependable, Reliable, Comes through

I have NEVER been disappointed. I was so stressed about my Ludo's recent emergency. Scared about his prognosis and scared about paying for his care. Pumpkin now made what would have been impossible for me financially possible. I would NEVER have been able to pay for his care upfront.

We were so blessed to have Pumpkin

We were so blessed to have Pumpkin! We have a new Bengal kitten and to the breeder and our vet’s recommendation signed him up for Pumpkin. Thankfully we had it! I was never expecting to use it be we ended up a weekend in the animal hospital and we are so thankful to have chosen Pumpkin!! Sam was texting me the whole weekend checking in and making sure I had everything submitted! She also followed up letting me know the adjuster was processing it right away! I hope we never have to use it again but we will be life long subscribers!!!

Monthly Cost

Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.

Payout Limits

Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.

Deductible

3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
