I looked at other pet insurance before…
I looked at other pet insurance before finally choosing Pumpkin. It offers great coverage and a wellness option (that I also purchased) at a fair price. Health-care costs are expensive for pets as well as people so having insurance is a no-brainer. For my puppy, Pumpkin was the right choice. My daughter has Pumpkin as well for her cat.

Prompt and efficient service.
Pumpkin insurance is a wonderful resource for pet owners. The customer service representatives I communicated with were super helpful and friendly and able to find all the information I needed. In addition, pumpkin provides extremely pumped and efficient service. When your greatest concern is the health of your pet the last thing you want to do is fight through red tape to get to the resources needed to help them. Pumpkin makes it easy to get what you need to keep your pet healthy.

Monthly Cost
Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.
Coverage
Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.
Payout Limits
Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.
Deductible
3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000
Age Limits
No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
