Great Customer Service- While searching…
Great Customer Service- While searching for pet insurance, I looked into and called multiple services. Stephanie Toppel was really great at answering all of my questions by responding right away and giving me a straight and honest answer. Pet insurance has a lot of ins and outs to it and I now feel very comfortable that I choose the best company for me.

Great user experience
Prudent pets rates are extremely competitive and they are one of the only insurance I’ve seen that offers 90% reimbursement! Their portal for uploading bills is also very user friendly I’m sure my grandmother would be able to navigate it with no problems.

This was my first time purchasing pet insurance!
This was my first time purchasing pet insurance and Pati was a big help! She explained everything in an easy to understand way and was there to answer all my questions. Would highly recommend!
Monthly Cost
Monthly rates start at $10 for Accident only and $16 for Accident & Illness coverage. Those rates vary based on species, age, breed as well as your location.
Coverage
We cover based on the actual vet bill and have options for 90%, 80% or 70% reimbursement.
Payout Limits
We offer limits of $2,500, $5,000, $10,000, $15,000, $20,000 and an unlimited plan. There are no lifetime limits with any option you choose.
Deductible
Choose a deductible that works best for you and your family, we offer $100, $250 and $500 options.
Age Limits
We have no age limits, but your pet will need to be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
For our accident & illness plans (essential & ultimate), we have a 14-day waiting period. Our accident-only policy only has a 5-day waiting period. There is no waiting period for wellness coverage.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered by our policies.
Optional Wellness Details
We have two preventive/wellness plan options. Our basic option costs $9.95/month* and our Prime option costs $24.95/month*. These cover things like wellness exams, dental cleanings, or flea/heartworm prevention. Reimbursement for these is based on a set maximum annual amount.
