A total scam
A total scam. I paid the premium for two months. My dog had an incident that wasn't very expensive - about $200. They rejected the claim and said it was a "pre-existing condition." How can a dog have a pre-existing condition that is a cut that didn't happen until a month after sign-up? It's a racket. Put your money into a savings account or just go to a casino and put it all on black. You'll end up in better shape either way.

I only gave it a 4 star because I have just signed with Prudent. I like the service I rec'd and out of all the pet Ins. I researched on Prudent was the only one that reached out to me. I searched the top 10 and Prudent was #4. Monica is awesome and takes the time to explain and answer any questions you may have.

Excellent service
Monica was excellent explaining what the policy covers and explaining how to make claims. Monica is an excellent service rep that takes her job with great pride as reflected in our conversation.
Monthly Cost
Monthly rates start at $10 for Accident only and $16 for Accident & Illness coverage. Those rates vary based on species, age, breed as well as your location.
Coverage
We cover based on the actual vet bill and have options for 90%, 80% or 70% reimbursement.
Payout Limits
We offer limits of $2,500, $5,000, $10,000, $15,000, $20,000 and an unlimited plan. There are no lifetime limits with any option you choose.
Deductible
Choose a deductible that works best for you and your family, we offer $100, $250 and $500 options.
Age Limits
We have no age limits, but your pet will need to be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
For our accident & illness plans (essential & ultimate), we have a 14-day waiting period. Our accident-only policy only has a 5-day waiting period. There is no waiting period for wellness coverage.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered by our policies.
Optional Wellness Details
We have two preventive/wellness plan options. Our basic option costs $9.95/month* and our Prime option costs $24.95/month*. These cover things like wellness exams, dental cleanings, or flea/heartworm prevention. Reimbursement for these is based on a set maximum annual amount.
