Prudent Pet Insurance has been great…
Prudent Pet Insurance has been great with covering my English Bulldog. They are easy to communicate with and always pleasant. Their monthly pricing is fair and claims claims process smoothly. I am happy that I chose Prudent Pet for Montgomery.

When your pet IS part of your family, Prudent Pet is there when needed.
Some time every Pet needs medical treatment. Don't be in the position of looking into their eyes and then your wallet to decide.

Easy to purchase
Peter was very helpful in explaining various options and suggested what's best for our pet.
Monthly Cost
Monthly rates start at $10 for Accident only and $16 for Accident & Illness coverage. Those rates vary based on species, age, breed as well as your location.
Coverage
We cover based on the actual vet bill and have options for 90%, 80% or 70% reimbursement.
Payout Limits
We offer limits of $2,500, $5,000, $10,000, $15,000, $20,000 and an unlimited plan. There are no lifetime limits with any option you choose.
Deductible
Choose a deductible that works best for you and your family, we offer $100, $250 and $500 options.
Age Limits
We have no age limits, but your pet will need to be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
For our accident & illness plans (essential & ultimate), we have a 14-day waiting period. Our accident-only policy only has a 5-day waiting period. There is no waiting period for wellness coverage.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered by our policies.
Optional Wellness Details
We have two preventive/wellness plan options. Our basic option costs $9.95/month* and our Prime option costs $24.95/month*. These cover things like wellness exams, dental cleanings, or flea/heartworm prevention. Reimbursement for these is based on a set maximum annual amount.
