We definitely will use Pets Best again

We lost our beautiful blue eyed white mixed breed 6 year old baby to kidney failure about 3 months ago totally unexpectedly. She was extremely sick and went into the hospital and was there for 4 days and her kidneys were failing. She was on ivs,pain meds and slowly deteriorated until we had to make that awful decision to let her go. We knew the cost would be overwhelming which it was but we tried everything to keep our girl alive. The final bill was staggering and the hospital wanted payment as soon as we brought Skye in the first day. We submitted our paid bill to Pets Best and within a short period of time we were surprised and elated how quickly they remembursed us 90% of our money. We are currently in the process of adopting another rescue dog who will share our home again and we will again make sure she is covered by Pets Best. Kate Signa

I believe that their insurance is…

I believe that their insurance is affordable and provides rapid reimbursement. I got a little bit thrown off by how the co-insurance works--I have 90% coverage after a $1,000 deductible. But it really feels like a $1,100 deductible because the 10% is my responsibility both before and after the deductible. I'm still happy with it. Especially after my pet had to have emergency surgery. They make it really easy to file a claim. I just had the clinic email me the records when I left, and was able to upload them with the website or snap a picture with their app. I'm usually a pretty critical guy who looks for ways companies can be better, but I don't really have any current ideas to improve PetsBest, which I think says a lot.

Quick, easy & painless

We've been members since 2009 and have 2 dogs currently under Pets Best and we've had nothing but positive experiences and believe me we've had many interactions with them. One of our dogs shattered his femur, another had serious digestive problems, and our other dog liked swallowing toys which required surgery & other methods of removal. Each claim was handled professionally and in a timely manner - I'd definitely say their process is quick, easy & painless. I've recommended them to friends. The plan's well worth the money! And as an added bonus they have the pet helpline that we've had to utilize a few times.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
