This was my first claim and I was impressed with PetsBest. The process was a little slower than I expected but it was thorough and fair. I am happy I switched from Healthy Paws to PetsBest.

The best, Pets best insurance……

I think Pets best is a great insurance company. My dog has had a leg issue and now a mast cell tumor. They have been great and Dixie so far is doing excellent. Thanks Pets best for helping invest in my dogs quality of life and future.

Terrible experience with this company

Terrible experience with this company. I got the insurance after my dog had gastroenteritis. A few months later my dog was diagnosed with lymphoma. He had no symptoms of this disease when I purchased this plan however since he had gastroenteritis they are acting as though every symptom of his lymphoma was pre-existing. Its a joke, not worth your time or money. It also takes nearly a month to get your claim back- right after your next billing cycle usually.

care credit & pets best both owned by Syncrony!?

First time pet insurance subscriber and I'm trying to make it to 1 year, but I'm having a really hard time justifying the expense. Sign up was easy, my first wellness claim was easy but then came a routine trip to the vet, an ER visit and vet follow up. The processing time has been almost 6 months and the claims have still not been approved. Pets best is trying to establish a pre-existing condition and obtain vet records that don't even exist as the puppy was not born yet! But hey why would they work fast, the claim has been riding on my care credit card by Synchrony, which happens to be the same financier for Pets Best. Talk about double dipping....I go around in circles with rep after rep on the phone and get nowhere. Very poor experience thus far.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
