Great customer service
The woman who helped me, Linda, was VERY friendly. I was ready to cancel my policy, but she explained everything to me in a very friendly way and was really helpful. She also called me back after we got disconnected, which I appreciated.

BEWARE OF PETS BEST
This company is absolute garbage. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. This is not spam or a lie. I’m a real person who has a dog insured with this company paid on time every month and got 0 service. My dog had a surgery in APRIL sent in all appropriate paper work they claim that it was a preexisting condition. When he has never been diagnosed with any condition of the such. He went in for a surgery for an issue that popped up for absolutely no reason. I appealed it had to wait 90 days for an answer. MIND YOU there’s no one in claims to speak to, not even email. The email you never get a response it’s automated. Then when you speak to customer service all they say is “we don’t have that information you need to wait. So it 89th day today and I just got an answer on an appeal and they said they need more documents of history from the place my dog went for the surgery. The surgery is the only history he has at that animal hospital and they know that. They are still charging me $90 a month for 0 service. This place is a rip off. If this gets deleted I will continue to post it. If you are a current member I suggest you cancel it because when you need it it’ll be useless. If you’re thinking about joining don’t. It’s full blown fraud what they’re doing.

First claim submitted
Just had to submit my very first claim to Pets Best and I was so impressed with the ease to submit it and how quick they responded back to me and kept me informed of where the claim stood. This first claim went to my deductible but was very happy with them.

Monthly Cost
$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.
Coverage
Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible.
Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states).
Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care.
24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method.

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan.
Unlimited lifetime limits.

$50 – $1,000 annually.
Age Limits
Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll.
Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.
Waiting Period
A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
