Loopholes for every possible claim

Pet's Best will do absolutely every cheap trick possible to avoid paying out for your coverage. I had a cat that I found as a stray and thus had no medical history who once urinated outside the litter box for a purely behavioral reason during the waiting period, and it was used to deny all claims in the future that had to do with kidney and liver disease. They have loopholes for every possibility to avoid paying you anything, and as such, I literally never got any payment for anything except for the wellness visits that were explicitly included in the premium package. I canceled the policy once it became clear that this insurance company is simply a scam that will take your premium and never cover you, even for thousands of dollars of hospitalization and vet clinic fees that were not considered part of the pre-existing conditions. Do not get Pet's Best -- you may as well just throw away that money.

Once the papers were sent, the time it took for Pets Best to respond and send the money directly to the bank was quicker than what the initial time frame quoted. I’m extremely happy with the services and with the overall service provided.

I have never had insurance on a pet

I have never had insurance on a pet. I wasnt sure if I wanted to spend the money but I called and someone was easy to contact and explained exactly what I needed. VERY VERY helpful. Glad I decided to spend the money well worth it.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
