Purchasing Pets Best was one of the best decisions I ever made for my dog and my wallet! The plan I chose covers 90% of all accident and illness after a $250 annual deductible, with an unlimited annual cap. The benefits have paid for the low monthly premiums many, many, many times over the the life of my dog. And, unlike most insurance plans these days, the Pets Best explanation of benefits is always 100% accurate - I never find any inappropriate denials or incomprehensible language, so I never dread having to argue about coverage with an anonymous representative speaking a language different from mine! Pets Best has really come through for us and I am really very grateful - I only wish I had also purchased the wellness benefit when my pup was a baby! Thank you Pets Best! You’re stuck with us!

Penny helped me with my boys' insurace. There was too many things going on at one time, renewal, correcting breed, and changing deductibles. It was pretty confusing. All is well now! Upon denying my first ever claim as a customer, they again denied the appeal. Denying an appeal that had my own veterinarian state that the claim should not be denied. Further, they incorrectly stated that my dog had allergies and therefore a pre-existing condition. My dog has never been tested nor diagnosed with allergies, and the mere fact that you use documentation of my doctor "discussing the possibility of allergies" as diagnoses is absurd. Further, they use the diagnoses of Dermatopathy as a pre-exisiting condition and somehow try to link an ear infection to a previous issue of skin irritation on the stomach, two of which are completed unrelated, and I find it laughable that they can use such a umbrella diagnosis of dermatopathy as a pre-existing condition where you can then deny ANY AND ALL CLAIMS of a skin irritation. This is the most outrageous experience I have dealt with an insurance company before and I will be absolutely recommending any animal owners I know to look elsewhere if they are interested in pet health insurance. conveniently, the appeal process took just the right amount of time before my next premium payment was due, 71 days to be exact for an appeal for something as small as an ear infection, Scam.

I have carried this insurance for over a year now. I recently submitted a string of claims for my dog who had surgery for some lumps and bumps. Though I understand reimbursement takes time, I have never experienced the wait times like I did. I would check the status of them frequently and nothing occurred until about 1.5 months later when they needed to know if I was carrying insurance from over 3 years ago. It was a little disheartening because the claims are considered finalizing but I still haven’t been reimbursed… almost 2 months later now.
