I am happy.

I filed my claim online, downloading the invoices available. The last claim was delayed in the review process and I received an email informing me about the status and the claim was approved a few days after. I had an item not approved under a wellness claim, a faecal test which I had not done for the year. I called customer service and they realized that the heartworm test was processed under the bloodwork/faecal test benefit and not the heatworm test benefit, so the faecal test claim was reprocessed and paid. I am quite happy with the claim turnaround and payment. Also, the possibility to discuss and resolve issues through customer service.

Ray keeps having stomach issues so my vet did an extensive study of Ray with x rays and tests. They did question a medication he was precribed because they could not find name of medication. After telling them the name they came thru for me..

Pets Best is allowing us to keep our dogs.

We have two dogs that have suddenly become very sick with heart disease. Pets Best is enabling us to keep the dogs around, otherwise we would have a very difficult decision. Its wise to get the insurance when you don't need it. Hopefully, you'll never need it.

Claims process is simple.

I appreciate the simplicity of the entire claims process from start to finish. Being able to submit a claim from my phone via the app is wonderful! I can snap a picture of the receipt while checking out after an appointment and file the claim. Also, being able to set up direct deposit is a huge plus. The time between submission, approval and deposit has been generally no more than a week.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
