Kodiak wouldn’t be with us anymore if it wasn’t for Pete Best
Our dog, Kodiak was hit by a car a few months following purchasing pet insurance through pets best. We were so distraught and upset that our poor dog had been hit by a car and left for dead. We knew we were going to do everything we could to help him. Pets best helped with that, immensely! If it wasn’t for our purchasing insurance we wouldn’t have been able to afford his emergency bills or the surgery that ensued because of the impact. Kodiak lost his front left leg, but he is happy and healthy now. Thanks to pets best we were able to explore alternative therapies like acupuncture, before amputating his leg. I honestly feel like my dogs have better insurance than I do! This is an extreme case, I know, but I feel like pets best helped save my dogs life. They have helped with other unforeseen illnesses my other dog has had as well. Purchasing insurance through pets best was one of the best decisions I ever made, and they are affordable and reliable!

Nothing better
There is nothing better knowing that when I walk into my vet and the payment is made that within a week to 10 days I have my money back from Pets Best. It's a big piece of mind

Best decision I made
Pet's Best was the best decision I made for my pets' health! From a freak accident resulting in a cut on my dog's leg that needed late night medical attention, to the easiest claim filing ever on their app, to being paid a few days later in my checking account....how much better can insurance be!
Monthly Cost
$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.
Coverage
Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible.
Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states).
Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care.
24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method.

Age Limits
Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll.
Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.
Waiting Period
A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
