I have another insurance for all my…

I have another insurance for all my other pets. My dog is too old to switch. This insurance takes a month to pay out. My other insurance pays within 48 hours and they charge less.

They are always on top of their claims

They are always on top of their claims. If there is a delay, they will always notify me, which rarely happens. I recommend to all my friends with pets!

Avoid at all costs

PetsBest took a month to process my claim for a standard vet visit and then did not pay the whole amount - they did not even cover the disposal fee - please read the reviews on google or bbb before you choose an insurance company.

There When I Needed Them

They've been wonderful. I didn't use it for the first year and a half or so. Once I did need to use it nothing was ever denied out right. Something's fall under exclusions but they were minor charges. I'm extremely grateful to Pets Best as they gave me more time with my beloved kitty and restored her comfort. For reference, she had a tumor on a lung love the size of a golf or ping-pong ball. She's a 9lb cat so that's pretty significant. I also called in advance just to see if I can get a pre-authorized as I was very worried about not getting reimbursed. They put me at ease ensuring me that this is a type of stuff this policy is for. Since I have been with them for quite some time they seem to be no question it was not pre-existing so that's the only thing I would look out for as a prospective member. Don't expect to have the insurance for 2 months and you easily get reimbursed for a major surgery that may have been pre-existing (diagnosed pre-existing) also there are usually breed-based exclusions, which is also normal.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
