ZERO customer service.

This is the WORST possible company when you need to talk to a human. The answer to my question is not on the website so I have made 3 attempts to talk to them. I been on hold as long as 30 minutes at a time and STILL have not spoken with a human being.

First well-puppy claim paid fast and easy

Recently switched from another insurer to Pets Best and filed my first well puppy claim. The process was fast and easy resulting in reimbursement within 2 weeks. I hope that future accident/illness claims goes as smoothly.

Terrible service

Best pets is worst pets when it comes to customer service. Typical wait times to their 800# are one hour. The company says this is normal. Uhhh, really? Email responses are 4-5 days. They claim an "A" BBB rating, but customer review ratings on BBB website are a 1 (worst possible out of 5). Do not use this company if you value your own time and sanity.

My pets will always be insured by PetsBest!

I've been a customer for years and I can tell you I will never have a pet that isn't covered under this policy! The claims process is handled online and is so seamless and easy. I love the WhiskerDocs phone line I can call any time with health-related questions for my pet. Having access to them has saved me from many trips to the vet. I love having the flexibility to choose my vet providers for my pet.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
