Waste of your money

Try calling Pets Best, chatting or emailing them. There is no response. They delay claims and misplace information sent to them. I have contacted the BBB about them because I feel scammed.

Goodbye Banfield and hello local vet and Pets Best!

I've never had pet insurance before and wasn't sure how it worked (I've only ever gone to Banfield through PetSmart - I would not recommend using Banfield for your animals). I have to say that Pets Best was so easy to use, I just uploaded my invoice and then received a direct deposit a little under two weeks later. They even provided a breakdown of the refund which was very helpful for me to understand which services were covered and which ones weren't. I thought that Banfield would be the easiest, most convenient, and most cost-effective way to care for my dogs and I was so wrong. Thanks, Pets Best for making the financial-portion of caring for my dogs so easy and convenient.

Big bill mostly covered

Willow stopped pooping and started throwing up. We thought she might have an obstruction, lots of tests later found she only had an intestin infection. It was still over $1000! Thank goodness for Pets Best. They came thru with flying colors for us!!

Very pleased with Pets Best

Very pleased with Pets Best. Quick to process claims, friendly and kind customer service people when you call them. Hold times are sometimes unpleasantly long, but that's becoming the norm for all phone-in customer service during Covid times. Highly recommend Pets Best. When renewal comes up, I plan to add the routine care coverage option as well, seems very reasonable cost (can only be added at policy renewal date).

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
